Answers to our existential questions

William Clayton

Who am I ? Why do I exist ? Where did I come from and where am I going ? These kinds of questions produce differing degrees of anguish when people search in vain for true answers that can satisfy the longing of their soul. These days many people assume it’s hopeless to imagine that answers can be found to such great existential questions.

Clive Every-Clayton points up the hidden cause of this failure-why philosophy, post-modernity, science and religion all prove unable to provide any real truth about the answers we need. But there is hope ! Answers do exist !

The positive way to find them is to listen to the fount of wisdom in the age-old Book of books. The fact is, as the author shows, only God can ground universal truth ; he alone can communicate absolute answers. This is the only hopeful way by which we can obtain rationally grounded answers that are true to life, that appease the heart, that satisfy the mind and that offer real fulfilment.

Clive Every-Clayton, originally from S. W. London, had a life-time career with his Scottish wife Dorothy, seeking to help people to find the essential truths that he writes about in this book. They spent many years in Belgium, where Clive wrote several French books as well as lecturing in apologetics at the Centre Universitaire Protestant des Etudes Interculturelles. He is passionate about sharing the answers that he has proved to be so extremely fulfilling in his own experience. He has four adult children and three grandsons.
